The International Academy of Film and Television (IAFT) is pleased to announce the launch of its newest program ‘Professional Immersion Program in Filmmaking’. The nine-month, hands-on program guarantees its students the opportunity to earn film credits and real-world experience by working on an actual feature film production for theatrical release.

When you’re out auditioning, you will be competing with hundreds and sometimes thousands of others. When a breakdown goes out to agents and managers, a casting director receives anywhere from one to five thousand photos for each role. From those, the director may call in one hundred actors for a first audition. So just the fact that you landed an audition is an accomplishment. Therefore, you don’t want to blow your chances of getting the job by doing something silly.

Parallels to the iPhone can be easily made, as both revolutionary products took the world by storm in 2007, changing the landscape of their respective fields. Within a very short time, both the RED and the iPhone have become leading brands, even more so because they constantly strive for improvements and innovation to remain ahead of the curve.

The International Academy of Film and Television (IAFT) is proud to congratulate its students and graduates on winning a total of nine out of twenty-two awards at the recent Sinulog Short Film and Documentary Competition. These winning entries include ‘Faces of Sinulog’, ‘Taxi Driver’ and ‘Pagtuo (Faith)’ by Steve Eraña and Mickey Macachor, Mikio Makino Jr. and Janice Villarosa respectively. The competition was held in conjunction with the Sinulog@30 2010 Festival in Cebu City, and the award ceremony took place at the SM Cinema 1 on 30th January, 2010.
